These terms govern your use of Music City Geek’s services and website, including our in-home and on-site technology help, website and local SEO services, and cryptocurrency education. By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these terms.
Music City Geek provides technology services for homes and small businesses in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, including smart home and security installation, WiFi and networking, PC repair, gaming PC builds, phone setup and repair, website design, local SEO, and plain-English cryptocurrency education. Exact services and availability may vary by appointment.
We provide a flat quote before work begins whenever possible. Prices are based on the information you give us; if we discover additional work is needed once we are on-site, we will explain it and get your approval before proceeding. Payment is due at the completion of service unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Appointments are scheduled based on availability. Please provide safe, reasonable access to the devices, networks, or property involved in your service. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the time slot to another customer.
Before any repair, upgrade, or installation, we strongly recommend backing up your important files and data. While we take reasonable care with your devices and accounts, we are not responsible for data loss, and back-ups remain your responsibility unless a back-up service was specifically part of the work we agreed to.
Please give us accurate information about your devices, network, and any known issues so we can do the job safely and correctly.
We stand behind our work. Labor on most repairs and installations is covered for 30 days from the date of service against the same issue recurring due to our workmanship. Parts we install carry the warranty provided by their manufacturer. This warranty does not cover new issues, unrelated hardware failures, damage from misuse, or issues caused by changes made after our visit.
We are a small, local technology service and we do our best on every visit, but electronics and software can be unpredictable. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Music City Geek is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from our services or your use of our website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service in question.
Our crypto education sessions teach how Bitcoin, wallets, and blockchains work. They are educational only and are not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and we do not recommend buying, selling, or holding any specific asset. We will never ask you for your private keys, seed phrases, or exchange login credentials. Any decisions you make about cryptocurrency are entirely your own responsibility.
The content on our website, including text, graphics, and logos, belongs to Music City Geek unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused without our permission. You agree to use our website lawfully and not to interfere with its normal operation.
We may recommend, install, or resell third-party hardware, software, or services (such as routers or cameras). Those products are subject to their own manufacturer or provider terms and warranties, and we are not responsible for their performance beyond our own installation and setup work.
We may decline or discontinue service if a request falls outside what we reasonably offer, if a work environment is unsafe, or if these terms are violated. You may stop using our services at any time; any work already completed remains payable.
By opting in to receive text messages from Music City Geek, whether through our website form, by texting us first, or by request during a call or visit, you agree to receive service-related texts such as scheduling confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, quotes, and follow-ups at the mobile number you provided, plus occasional promotional messages only if you opted in to those. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchasing any service. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
